Join us for the Opening Reception & Art Market for "Awakening: A Sacred Story of Contemporary Myaamia Art"

Enjoy the new exhibit on display, mingle with local artists in the market, and snack upon catered foods from local small businesses.

Curated by Kathy Carter-Young, this exhibition of contemporary Myaamia (Miami) artists highlights the "Awakening" of their native culture and language after centuries of hardship. The Miami Tribe’s wide range of influence once included the area of Crete as part of their homelands. We will be joined by tribe members and advocates from the Myaamia Center of Miami University, Ohio.
