The board of Crete Creative Gallery and School would like to thank you for joining us on this journey to keep creativity thriving in Chicago's South Suburbs. In 2024, we successfully transitioned our art exhibition space to the Crete Public Library District and secured our first grant in support of programming from Earthrise Energy. With their backing, we are proud to offer free art events for the community, lowering barriers and welcoming new faces and fresh energy into the world of art. We also feel honored for being nominated and awarded the South Suburban Small Business Association's 2025 Creative Arts award. As we continue to grow, through our Opening Receptions, Art Markets, free classes, and community events, we look forward to what new opportunities 2025 may bring to us...

With our Gallery secured, we referred back to our name to see where else we can serve the community. Strengthening the "School" in Crete Creative Gallery and School had us scratching our heads. With respect to our current and previous venues, we have skirted around educational art programming that can get, well... messy. Ceramics, large scale painting, sculpting - the hands-on art you can really lose yourself in. So, in addition to our current programming, here's what we are working on next:

• Establish studio space for various artists to create, demonstrate, and teach their art techniques.

• Maintain a dedicated "School" where we have storage for our art supplies and ample space to get experimental with our art classes.

While we may not be able to reveal all of our secret developments toward these goals, Crete Creative wants to assure you: exciting changes are coming! We believe that now, more than ever, people will be exploring their creative skills and artistic voices - which is why we won't back down in our mission to support the arts!

• Donate new or gently used art supplies

• Write a review for us on Google or Facebook
